From Akureyri drive along the fjords coastline directly to the small fishing hamlet of Hjalteyri. It is like stepping back 40 years in time when you arrive at this picturesque small hamlet. The ocean view is stunning and we can walk along a black sandy beach or even dip into a small hot tub, located on the spot 

We meet a local handcraft woman who uses old methods to make all kinds of things out of animal skin and furs. We get to taste some local refreshments there before we get going to the microbrewery of Kaldi beer for beer tasting.
